The warm, dry spring months have given the young grouse an excellent opportunity to thrive and we’re expecting a particularly strong season. Get in touch using the link below to find out more about the amazing grouse we have available.

The wild red grouse is found only on heather moorland in certain parts of the UK – it is completely unique and exists nowhere else in the world.

Yorkshire Grouse begin nesting in mid-April, laying on average 8-10 eggs before sitting for approximately 23 days. By mid-May, young grouse start to be seen and they begin to mature very quickly.
Counting begins in late July to determine the shooting numbers for the season and to ensure a sustainable population is left for the following year.

From 12th August, or The Glorious Twelfth, the grouse shooting season gets underway.
